About Us
We design schools, churches, restaurants, multi-family buildings, medical buildings and homes.
We consider the overall impact on both South Florida’s built and un-built Environments. Our traditions of passive energy design, open-air environments and atmospheric transparency came from our research and adopted from Mid-Century Architects Igor B. Polevitzky, FAIA and Alfred Browning Parker, FAIA.
Although we are often sought for our Modern Homes, most of our projects are Historic Restorations requiring quasi-judicial proceedings, Restaurants, Hospitality and projects having complex permitting situations. Working in Miami, New York and Atlanta, we are known for our proactive role in the Construction Industry, and lawful approach to improving South Florida’s permitting climate.
WHAA promotes its buildings as efficient, environmentally and culturally-sensible. We average a typical workload of 63-72 active projects, and about two-thirds of our work is designated Historic or aged structures of more than fifty years of age.

“What truly sets William apart is his remarkable ability to balance artistic vision with professional execution. He listened intently to our specific requirements, presented meticulously detailed plans, and maintained transparent communication throughout the entire design and construction process. His creative approach meant that our Miami Starbucks isn’t just another coffee shop – it’s a beautifully crafted space that enhances the customer experience.” —Greg Sausaman, CEO, CFE Master licensee, Starbucks®

“As a designer with 30 years of high-end residential design and build experience in NY and all points beyond, we seek out local design and expediting partners for our projects. When we embarked upon our first design project in Miami, we were lucky enough to be directed to William Arthur, who has been a seamless and sagacious partner in assisting with the perils and confusion that is intrinsic to the CMB Building Department navigation.” —Alexandra Hayden, Principle Designer for Octave Studio, New York
